Bama N’ Toulouse Day

In response to the recent tragedy in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, a local restaurant in Lexington, Bourbon N’ Toulouse, joined forces with a University of Kentucky student in sending aid to help the families of the tornado stricken area. From this shared compassion, Bama N’ Toulouse Day was born.

UK Students and residents of Central Kentucky could donate non-perishable food items and clothing that would be delivered to Alabama by a UK student from Tuscaloosa. In addition, Bourbon N’ Toulouse donated 20% of all of its gross sales proceeds for that day and accepted contributions for the cause. Safe Storage donated the truck to carry everything down to Alabama and even provided a cool logo for the event! The donation of the 15-foot Safe Storage box truck meant that all of the donations would be delivered for free, allowing 100% of the monetary donations to go to the victims.

The turnout was spectacular, with UK and the Central Kentucky community once again proving that it’s the people here who make this such a great place to live. Donations and volunteers showed up in droves, and Coach John Calipari and Josh Harrellson from the UK Basketball team, and Coach Joker Phillips from UK’s football team were on hand to help load up the provisions and encourage the volunteers as well as sign a few autographs!

Safe Storage was honored to provide a way for the donations to be delivered to Tuscaloosa, and we continue to keep our SEC friends in Alabama in our thoughts as they work through the aftermath of this tragic event. Read more about Bourbon N' Toulouse on their facebook page

The StoreRoom Mobile Storage Supports Habitat for Humanity

In support of Habitat for Humanity, The Storeroom Mobile Storage will be donating $10 for every referral that results in an ordered mobile storage container to the Lexington Habitat for Humanity. Safe Storage strongly believes in the power of a healthy community, and support Habitat’s mission to provide housing to those deserving and in need.
