About Safe Storage

In 1993, Burgess Carey founded Safe Storage Inc. consisting of 3 self storage and truck rental facilities with a total of 218,000 sq. ft. In 1994, he founded Boone Creek Properties LLC and purchased the former Jolly Rodger Restaurant Site. Continuing to grow and expand, Burgess cofounded GBC OIL, LLC, Shell Oil Products marketer with a 9500 sq. ft. co-branded convenience store in 1995 which is now operated under a lease agreement.

In 2002, the initial environmental education and wilderness skills programs were offered by Boone Creek while BCAC hosted the Kentucky Riverkeeper and Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Today, BCAC attracts over 20 members, the National Paddling Film Festival, and a healthy fishery on Boone Creek. In 2003, Burgess founded 720 S. Main LLC and purchased 24 apartment units in Nicholasville , KY. In this past year, Burgess has been busy expanding Safe Storage Inc. to include an additional 40,000 sq. ft. of climate controlled space. Phase 2 of CTP's expansion to add 8,733 sq. ft. of retail space and 9,000 sq. ft. of office/warehouse space.
